The Three Volume Profound Treasury texts present Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche's teaching on the hinayana, mahayana, and vajrayana in a unique way, joining traditional Buddhist concepts with contemplative, experiential understanding, in vivid language which is as fresh today as when it was first taught.

The Path of Individual Liberation presents the Hinayana, the core Buddhist teachings on the practice of meditation, the reality of suffering, and the possibility of liberation.

This 5-week class will explore selected topics from the Hinayana path in a format of facilitated discussion, closely tied to passages in the readings from the Profound Treasury text. Topics include the development of ego; shila, samadhi, and prajna; the Wheel of Life; how to become a dharmic person; understanding dualistic mind, and more.

The expectation is that students will actively engage in the topics and complete each reading assignment prior to the class discussion.

Books will be for sale at the Shambhala Center or you may purchase them online prior: Profound Treasury Volume I

Next Study Series: February 2019

There will be continuation of Profound Treasury study on Thursday evenings, starting February 7th.
