A great deal of chaos in the world occurs because people don't apperciate themselves.

-- Chögyam Trungpa, Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior, ch. 2 "Discovering Basic Goodness"

First penned in 1984, these words ring true today more than ever. What would society look like if we all took the time to touch in with our own humanity and recognize the human experience of all others roaming the planet? Is it possible to live in a society based on shared ideals of equity and acceptance?

Shambhala vision teaches that, in the face of the world's great problems, we can be heroic and kind at the same time. Join Senior Shambhala Teacher Shastri Nick Kranz as he kicks off Weekend I: Feel Human Again with this bold and provacative idea that by being ourselves we can experiece the shared humanity of the world.

This talk is open to the public. All are welcome regardless of your experience with meditation. Advanced registration will help us plan better, but payment at the door is accepted as well. There will be a limited number of spaces available to join the rest of the weekend training, if you are interested.

Nick Kranz was appointed as a Shastri (Senior Buddhist Teacher) by his teacher and head of the Shambhala Buddhist lineage Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in 2013.
