"This world of water, trees, rocks, sky, and earth is our heritage.

This natural wonderment is our original playground."

- Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Aspiration of Shambhala

With the demands and stimulation of the modern lifestyle, we often find being in nature to be a mirror that shows us how we either idealize nature, or feel alienated from it.

This one-day outdoor retreat will explore the experience of resting our minds naturally in an outdoor setting. Utilizing a variety of experiential exercises, including meditation practice, listening and tuning into the world around us, opening our sense faculties, and exloring the world with child-like wonder, this retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to spend a day outside. We will learn how to directly connect our senses to the natural world around us.

This program reoccurs seasonally, so please join us again for the Autumn session!

We strongly recommend carpooling to create the smallest impact on the environment. If you are able to offer a ride or would like to join a carpool we will send you a link to sign up in the confirmation email.

This program will meet offsite in Beverly MA, not at the Boston Shambhala Center. There is a $20-per-car parking fee for non-Beverly residents and we will help facilitate ride sharing to offset this cost.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for specific meet-up information - please make sure to read the follow up email from the coordinator that will be sent within a week or so before the event takes place.
