Body Mind Unwind: Yoga Workshop
with Lakota Sandoe
This Sunday evening practice will be a delight for all. We will blend gentle body shapes, movement and breath awareness, to support the warming and opening of the body and settling of the mind. Participants will then have the option to receive therapeutic assists from the teacher Lakota, while in supported restorative poses.* These further unwind the nervous system, bringing more mental, physical and emotional ease. We will top off with Yoga Nidra, a delicious guided relaxation, that relaxes deeper tensions and recharges our batteries. Expect to leave with greater body awareness, a relaxed glow, feeling refreshed and grounded for the week ahead.
This workshop is open to all. No yoga experience is necessary. Please wear loose or stretchy, comfortably fitting, layers. A large shawl, or small blanket, may be appreciated towards the end as well. You're welcome to bring a yoga mat if you would like, but it's not needed for the practice.
*Participants are fully empowered to anonymously Opt-out of any touch, using consent cards at any point in the practice. Lakota Sandoe Her teaching draws on over 1000 hours of Yoga Training, the work of Embodyoga and Body-mind Centering, Shambhala Warrior Training, Trauma Study, as well as countless hours of private Therapeutic Yoga work. She is currently enrolled in Massage School and in the process of finishing up a Yoga Therapy Certification.
