Welcome Ashley Hodson, our New Executive Director

Ashley Hodson

It is with delight and profound happiness that the Governing Council of the Boston Shambhala Center announces that Ms. Ashley Hodson has been formally approved and appointed by the Kalapa Court for the position of Centre Director.

Her directorship will begin as of Shambhala Day 2015. Everyone is invited to the Oath Ceremony for Ashley, including a Retirement Oath for Dan Glenn, on April 17th at 7pm with Ms. Jane Arthur presiding. RSVP Here

Ashley has been in Shambhala since 2010 and has served the Center for the past 4 years overseeing Communications and Operations. In that time she has supported our fleet of volunteers, served on the Governing Council, become a lifetime Dorje Kasung, served as the Event Producer for the Sakyong’s visit to Boston and led the charge to renovate and re-inspire our Center’s spaces. You have undoubtedly seen her around the Center with a paint brush in her hand, sifting through mountains of emails, re-organizing a closet or more recently, teaching.

She came to Shambhala looking to explore her curiosity for meditation and wound up finding a life-long path. Having grown up in the Boston area, she is delighted to call Jamaica Plain her home and boasts the best commute to work ever. Currently she is working through her Ngondro practice and plans on attending Rigden Abisheka this July at Dorje Denma Ling in Nova Scotia. She considers serving as Director a deep honor and aspires to include the whole community in the process of reaching our highest potential as an enlightened society.

Ashley will be hosting a leadership training April 17-19th and encourages everyone who considers themselves an active community member to participate if possible. Learn more about the Art of Hosting Training April 17-19th.

Join us on April 17th at 7pm to welcome Ashley to her new seat in our community.

Yours in the Vision of the Great Eastern Sun,
