Full-Moon Shambhala Sadhana (For Community Members)
with Ashley Hodson
“I have composed a sadhana known as the Shambhala Sadhana that helps us, through the powerful practice of meditation, deepen our insight and feeling of basic goodness and enlightened society.”
-The Kongma Sakyong, Jampal Trinley Dradul
The Shambhala Sadhana is the centerpiece of our monthly community gatherings on, or near, each full moon. All center members and their families and friends are welcome to attend. The emphasis is on collective group practice, gathering and celebrating society regardless of levels on the path. The aspiration is for a community experience in which new and seasoned warriors are all practicing and in conversation together.
While normally one must receive the reading transmission and empowerment for this practice, on these Full Moon gatherings, all Shambhala Center members and their guests are invited to practice together.
What is a Community Member? A member of the Shambhala Community is someone who supports the Center with Service, Practice and Financial Support: Read more about Membership
